HOLDEN - Wachusett Regional School District Director of Operations John R. Locke was appointed to a second position last night, but was not given a second salary.
Acting on the recommendation of Superintendent Thomas G. Pandiscio, the Wachusett Regional School Committee voted to create the position of deputy superintendent, to appoint Mr. Locke to the position and pay him $120,000.
Mr. Pandiscio said the salary is the same as Mr. Locke is receiving as director of operations. He said school district operations will continue as they have, except when he is out of the area or unreachable.
