Remove those earbuds! Schools across the country are saying no to iPods and other digital media players. Some teachers have caught students using the devices to cheat, while others believe they are simply a learning distraction.
Shana Kemp, a spokesperson for the National Association of Secondary School Principals, says it's not unusual for schools to ban, or not allow, digital media players. "I think it is becoming a national trend," she says.
But others think the trend should be reversed. Some teachers say the devices are valuable learning tools. Students say they should be allowed to listen to music during breaks.
