Oligonucleotide delivery with serum into HeLa cells using polycation liposomes.(Clinical report)

ABSTRACT

Antisense oligonucleotides (ON) are promising novel therapeutic agents against viral infections and cancer. Polycations have gained increasing attention as nonviral gene delivery vectors in the past decades. Significant progress has been made in understanding complex formation between polycations and nucleic acids, entry of the complex into the cells, and subsequent entry into the nucleus.
