Sep. 12--Baking and decorating cakes of all shapes and sizes keep sisters Sandi Cook and Peri Ortiz busy all day with their small business -- Cakes By Request.
At C and First Streets in Marysville, the tiny shop has grown, not in size, but in service in its four years of existence.
"We started small and only did phone orders, but it's evolved," said Ortiz, 43. "It's been a lot of fun. We're normally back there (baking) all day everyday."
The sisters, the bakery's only employees, bake, build, design and deliver everything from scratch.
