HIGH POINT, N.C. - Buyers at the International Home Furnishings Market this week will see a concentration of premium bedding, flotation mattresses moving into the mainstream and a variety of retail tools to sell those "mysterious rectangles."
In luxury bedding, Serta and Kingsdown offer models this market with price tags of $2,000 and $2,500, respectively. Bassett has a $1,099 model with a double-pillow top and Belgian damask cover imprinted with a "1760 Toile de Jouy" scene. King Koil offers its special-edition Posture Bond Perennial to retail for $1,199, and Thomasville adds a "Luxury Plush" model to its Legend lineup.
