NEW research shows that children can cut their risk of developing asthma and allergies by eating plenty of fruit, vegetables and oily fish.
The study, by the University of Crete in Greece, discovered that only 13 per cent of children who ate a lot of vegetables developed allergies compared to a rate of 22 per cent among those with a low intake. And children who ate less than 60mg of fish a day were nearly twice as likely to develop asthma than those who ate more.
