Sep. 13--WEST PALM BEACH -- Mayor Lois Frankel said Wednesday that she is named in a sealed section of a February grand jury report, but that there is "nothing criminal hidden here."
"I am named in the grand jury report," she said. "But, it has nothing to do with bribery, extortion, pay-to-play politics or personal corruption."
In response to recent rumors in political and media circles, Frankel abruptly called a news conference to address what she called "the ridiculous level of speculation" about the sealed portion of the report.
Frankel said: "There is nothing in the report that puts me in legal jeopardy."
