Sep. 13--This could be the greatest thing to happen to French food since young Gaston LeNotre got his first Easy-Bake Oven.
The animated film "Ratatouille," the story of a food-obsessed rat who restores a faded French restaurant to its former glory, has done more than delight audiences nationwide and make a bajillion dollars for Pixar Animation Studios.
Apparently it has ignited new interest, and rekindled old interest, in French cuisine.
Le Vichyssois reports a surge in "Ratatouille"-related business, as longtime customers flock into the northwest suburban restaurant, raving about the movie and comparing veteran ...
