Sep. 13--It's rare that Omaha community theater approaches the level of an off-Broadway dramatic production.
You probably could count the number of times each season on one hand.
Such was the case last year with "The Pillowman" at the Blue Barn and "I Am My Own Wife" by SNAP Productions. Powerful new scripts were elevated by excellent production values, keen direction and outstanding acting.
And now, such is the case with "Shining City," Conor McPherson's adult drama about urban isolation and broken communication that opened Friday at the Brigit St. Brigit Theatre.
