Last issue I discussed issues of location for just starting out: finding rentable office space that's in the best location you can afford and that brings clientele to your door.
I rent my city office from a midwifery practice, where I practice only on Tuesdays. My home office is a very different story. An office literally in my home has great advantages. Many new business owners find a home office the most affordable, convenient solution. And there are tax benefits. With a home office, however, different issues emerge than for commercial space.
