I have to say, I really enjoyed several of the articles in the February 2007 issue of Science Scope. The articles on pH, the kingdoms, and submarines are wonderful and very practical.
I am concerned about the Science Sampler article on recycling aluminum cans by using them to help measure the number of calories in a peanut. Nearly every school in the country has had to face the issue of having students with peanut allergies in the classroom. These allergies can be life threatening. I have taught in several schools and classrooms and do not know of a place I could use that activity. It's a great idea--I just wish you could make it so it is usable. In other words, ...
