Rising ready-to-wear designer Phillip Lim is a buzz magnet. After nabbing the 2007 Council of Fashion Designers of America's Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Womenswear, he's now shaking up the footwear world with the launch of a special-edition sandal collection in collaboration with German comfort brand Tatami.
Set for a spring '08 debut, the series of men's and women's styles, branded under the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Tatami label, will blend Lim's aspirational and elementary approach to design with Tatami's focus on comfort.
