Sep. 13--Three young skaters from the Rochester Figure Skating Club won gold medals at the recent Minnesota State Figure Skating Competition held Aug. 24-26 at the Bloomington Ice Garden in Bloomington.

Shannon Brakke, 12, Kellogg Middle School, won four gold medals in the Intermediate Ladies division. Tesslina Trejo, 13, Century High School, won two golds in Open Juvenile Girls. And Ryan Santee, 12, John Adams Middle School, won a gold in the Juvenile Men division.

Three more club members won medals: Kate Geschwind, 11, in Juvenile Girls, and Katie Tetzloff, 13, and David Beyer, 14, in Juvenile Pairs Dance.
