The processes for developing new technologies must adapt to the dramatic restructuring of the health care system.
Last year's intense debate over the future of U.S. health care has subsided into an eerie silence. Despite the stalemate in public policy-making, however, health care reform is in fact proceeding briskly. The U.S. system is well into the process of restructuring itself, and the pace of change appears to be accelerating.
