Sep. 13--To build a better henhouse, consult with a fox.
In this case, the fox is Mark Morze, a former white-collar criminal who duped slack accountants and auditors for years without being caught. And the henhouse builders are accountants, auditors and others intent on recognizing and snuffing out corporate fraud.
Morze was a guest speaker for two days this week at the fourth annual fraud conference hosted by the Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Big Sky Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners.
