DETROIT, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- EDS (NYSE: GME), a leader in applying information technology, today opened what is believed to be the first commercial virtual reality center in the world.

The Detroit Virtual Reality Center is located in the Albert Kahn Building in the city's New Center area and will be used to demonstrate, on a business-to-business basis, a variety of applications for rapidly evolving technologies that can simulate three-dimensional environments.

Advanced computer technologies from more than 35 high-tech companies, universities, and government organizations will be on display at the multi-million dollar center.
