WORCESTER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 1995--The former Marriott Hotel in downtown Worcester soon will be wearing a crown.
Officials at Servico, Inc., new owners of the 250-room facility at Lincoln Square, today announced a long-term management agreement with the Crowne Plaza Hotels, a national chain of upscale hotels.
"The Crowne Plaza name is effective today," said David Buddemeyer, president of Florida-based Servico.
"Crowne Plaza is one of the premier names in the hotel industry, and is recognized as having the most advanced reservation system in the world," he added.
