Reggie Brown never thought about the automobile business during his formative years.
Born in Richmond and the child of two educators, Mr. Brown naturally gravitated toward academics, but while studying at North Carolina A&T University he became fascinated with business administration.
He graduated in 1970 with a degree in that field, and after a stint as a tax auditor, joined Xerox Corporation as a sales representative.
