Sep. 16--Carlos Malave, a security officer at a North Side branch of LaSalle Bank, is bracing for his pink slip.
When Bank of America, the nation's largest bank, takes over LaSalle Bank Corp. next month, Malave, 34, expects it will hire its own security officers. "It could mean I'm out of a job," said Malave, of Logan Square.
His concerns about the takeover were shared by many on Saturday during a public hearing at First United Methodist Church in the Loop.
