SBI associate banks to go on strike on Sep 27
New Delhi, Sep 16 (PTI) State Sector Bank Employees Association (SSBEA), an umbrella organisation of six SBI associate banks has called for a strike on September 27, to oppose any attempt of merger with State Bank of India.
The whole-day strike is likely to affect functioning of over 2,500 branches of SBI associate banks across the country.
The union is opposed to consolidation of associate banks with SBI as the merger is not in the interest of economy and banking sector, SSBEA, central committee member V B Gupta said.
