Denmark for years has held the slot right behind the United States as the second largest per capita consumer of frozen foods. In 1993 the Scandinavian country logged in at 47.5 kilograms per person - just five kilos behind the USA. But what is most notable is the fact that Denmark was more than nine kilos ahead of the UK, which holds the number three position. This was no trivial feat, considering that Denmark was far less industrialized than other European countries in the first three decades after frozen foods appeared on the scene.
