Sep. 15--In a town full of vacant industrial buildings, Steris Corp. moved fast.
Just weeks after the last steam sterilizer was built at the Ohio-based company's plant at 2424 W. 23rd St., Steris has a tentative agreement to sell the 26-acre property to Industrial Realty Group, better known as IRG.
Terms of the tentative sale weren't released. The county assessment office lists the value of the property at $8.32 million.
Stephen Norton, director of corporate communications for Steris, said the company's nonbinding letter of intent to sell the property represents good news.
