STAMFORD, Conn., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Income from Xerox Corporation's (NYSE: XRX) core document processing business increased 43 percent in the first quarter to $187 million, compared with $131 million in the first quarter of 1994. Document processing revenues grew 15 percent in the quarter to $3.8 billion, compared with $3.3 billion last year.

Document processing primary earnings per share were $1.60 in the quarter, a 50 percent increase compared with 1994 first quarter earnings per share of $1.07. Fully diluted earnings per share were $1.54 compared with $1.04 in the first quarter last year.
