Darren Sharper didn't need to look at the stat sheet to know the Detroit Lions passed for a lot of yards Sunday, but the Vikings' veteran safety said he and his defensive teammates did the best they could.
'We knew they were going to put the ball in the air,' Sharper said after the 20-17 overtime loss. 'We knew it was going to be kind of like a seven-on-seven (drill). We had to put our track shoes on and just to go out there and make plays. We did a good job of that. We just didn't make enough in the end.'
