MADRID, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Banco Santander (ADRs NYSE: STD) announced today that it has concluded terms of a significant financial and strategic agreement with the Italian bank, Istituto Bancario San Paolo di Torino, according to Emilio Botin, chairman of the Santander Group. Both banks, each a leader in its own country, will develop commercial and investment banking projects. These will include financing and participation in businesses in Latin America and the Far East, business links between Spain and Italy, involvement in major Italian privatizations and the development and distribution of complementary financial products.
