Sep. 18--| Perhaps the tide has turned. Perhaps after stringing together failed playoff runs for most of this decade, the Phillies have the talent, moxie and momentum needed to finish a late charge and snag a playoff berth.
They certainly have hit a hot streak at the right time. With Ryan Howard using his power stroke to lead another offensive onslaught and Kyle Kendrick throwing another quality start Monday, the Phillies survived a meltdown by their bullpen to hold on for a 13-11 win over St. Louis at Busch Stadium.
