Sep. 18--BRENTWOOD -- Authorities have cleared a partial closure of Marsh Creek Road prompted by a van slamming into a telephone pole this morning, knocking cables into the roadway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision occurred around 5:20 a.m. near Deer Valley Road and westbound traffic immediately began to back up on Marsh Creek Road. Authorities closed the westbound lane to allow a tow truck and crews from Pacific Bell to clear the roadway and make necessary repairs.
