Article: OTC derivatives dealers group gives investors draft code of conduct.(over-the-counter dealers)

After working independently for months, a group of over-the-counter derivatives and securities dealers has presented its final plan for a voluntary code of conduct to investor groups, including state and local officials, and now is pushing them to endorse it.

The most recent draft, which is little changed from two earlier versions, is meant to be used by dealers and investors alike in over-the-counter financial transactions and basically states that those entering into these complicated transactions should understand what they are doing.
