Remember the 1961 Rose Bowl when University of Washington fans turned over their seat cards during the nationally televised halftime show and, rather than Washington, the cards read Cal Tech?.
One of the Cal Tech undergraduates who participated in the prank was Lon Bell, the president and founder of defense technology transfer venture Amerigon Inc. in Monrovia and a mover and shaker in the push for electric cars.
