An April 10 column item about Inglewood's Centinela Hospital receiving its accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations - and an affiliated survey JCAHO is conducting - triggered a strong response from Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
That hospital is skeptical of the JCAHO's accreditation and the survey it is simultaneously compiling because of the high costs to complete the process. It stated it has had second thoughts about continuing to seek the accreditation.
