There are disquieting signs that the Spitzer administration is having second thoughts about the the proposed Albany Convention Center.

The wish is that the administration would speak its mind more clearly.

Thus far, the state has only raised in a letter the possibility of downsizing the vision for the convention center complex, as a way to contain costs. Contain what costs? No one knows what this project will price out at, not even remotely.

It's a safe bet though, since we're not even close to having a shovel in the ground, that costs are bound to have escalated mightily since the project was conceived in 2001. So ...
