Sep. 19--Amyris Biotechnologies, an Emeryville maker of transportation biofuels, intends to announce $70 million in second-round venture funding today. In a statement, Amyris Chief Executive John Melo said the company has succeeded in creating three biofuels that could go on sale by 2010 -- biogasoline, biodiesel and biojet fuel -- in its labs.
