SAN FRANCISCO--The ballet world will give the United Nations a huge present for its fiftieth birthday: a festival in which thirteen top companies offer eleven new ballets, May 9-14, at San Francisco's War Memorial Opera House, in the same building complex where world leaders signed the U.N. Charter on June 26,1945.
