IT'S helped Brits shed an amazing 306,250,000 stones as the UK's top weight-loss organisation and now Weight Watchers is celebrating its 40th birthday.

The first meeting was held in Dachet, near Windsor, in 1967, and now most towns and cities across the UK have at least one Weight Watchers group.
