"WE HAVE been wiped out," moaned Teoh Tiek Huat, a losing candidate in Malaysia's opposition Democratic Action Party (DAP), after its crushing defeat in this week's general election. Clutching the only available straw, Mr Teoh said, "It might after all be good for the people to experience what it is like to have no opposition at all."
Things have not quite reached that stage yet, but the opposition has certainly been substantially trimmed.
