Sep. 20--Some city residents could see their water and sewer bills decrease -- if the city gets its way.
A June state Supreme Court ruling allows the city to acquire Aqua Indiana's north system by eminent domain, something the city has been trying to do since 2002. Ted Nitza, a program manager with the city's water resources, said Wednesday if the city succeeds, the utility's 9,000 drinking water customers and 16,000 sewer customers could see their bills decrease by as much as 43 percent for some small businesses, based on current rates.
