Sep. 20--It's a go for a world-class Theodore Roosevelt museum in his hometown of Oyster Bay.
Town Supervisor John Venditto has endorsed a plan by the Theodore Roosevelt Association to build a $100-million Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Museum and Research Center on the town-owned Firemen's Field parking lot adjacent to the Oyster Bay railroad station and business district. That makes the site the likely home for the facility over Washington, D.C., or Boston.
