Viggo Mortensen reunites with director David Cronenberg, with whom he scored a hit with "A History of Violence."
The new joint effort is "Eastern Promises," which has been traveling the film festival circuit with great success.
The actor is cast as a former Soviet prisoner, now a chauffeur, who is the friend of the son of a restaurateur-crime boss (Armin Mueller-Stahl) in the saga of London-based Russian mobsters.
