Sep. 22--Marcus Thigpen will get most of his touches against Illinois as a running back in Indiana's potent ground game. But Illini coach Ron Zook fears Thigpen as much for his kick returns.
The junior from Detroit led the country last season with an average of 30.1 yards and three touchdowns on kickoffs. None was bigger than the 98-yard TD he scored to open the second half at Illinois as the Hoosiers rallied for a 34-32 win.
