There can't be anything more difficult than being the only salmon swimming downstream at spawning time, and like most athletes, baseball players really enjoy thinking like all the other salmon.
So it comes as no surprise that, as the Red Sox stumble through their worst stretch of baseball this season, their players are concerned about their team losing momentum as the postseason nears. After all, how can anyone be against momentum?
