Sep. 23--One more visit to Michigan Stadium, one more gut-wrenching, head-shaking loss for Penn State.
On Saturday, though, the Nittany Lions could blame only themselves.
They lost two fumbles. They failed to score a touchdown. They didn't muster anything more than three field goals. Meanwhile, Michigan running back Mike Hart carried the ball a career-high 44 times and finished with 153 yards.
It all added up to the same old result: Michigan 14, Penn State 9. In fact, the Lions (3-1, 0-1) have lost nine consecutive games to the Wolverines (2-2, 1-0), dating back to the 1997 season.
