Sep. 23--MOSCOW, Idaho -- Most amazing.
The Idaho Vandals made so many huge mistakes, yet Northern Illinois didn't escape the Kibbie Dome with its first win of the season until Nathan Enderle was sacked with 9 seconds left on a fourth-down play from the Huskies' 18.
After making big plays on offense, defense and special teams for first-half touchdowns to build a 35-7 lead, the Huskies held on for a 42-35 win in the non-conference football game before 12,461 fans Saturday afternoon.
