Sep. 23--Buffeted by a critical audit and a blistering grand jury report, Team San Jose faces a fight for its survival as city leaders prepare to reconsider whether the non-profit is the best choice to manage the convention center and five downtown theaters.
Team San Jose's latest annual results show that despite continued improvement, it has once again missed key financial targets in its contract. City leaders Tuesday will schedule a December hearing on whether to seek another operator, as recommended by the grand jury.
"That is one of the things we have to consider," Mayor Chuck Reed said.
