Sep. 23--LIMA -- Lima schools Superintendent Karel Oxley began her walking campaign this week to encourage people to support the November school levy.
She began the walks and will continue them without full support of her school board.
Board member Bobbi McGinnis voted against putting the 7.3
mill property tax levy on the ballot, lobbying board members to go with an income tax instead. McGinnis did support a previous resolution indicating the
district needs to raise additional funds, and Oxley is hopeful that voters will take note of that.
