British researchers use Gurmukhi to aid forensic research
London, Sep 23 (PTI)Forensic experts at the University of Derby in Britain have used Punjabi script - Gurmukhi - to help narrow down the identity of writers and develop a technique that could profile criminal authors of documents.
The experts believe that a Punjabi equivalent of the English language pangram "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" could help profile the criminal authors of documents.
They used a Punjabi 'pangram' - a paragraph in the Punjabi script Gurmukhi which contained all 40 characters of the Indo-Aryan language - as part of a study to see if written text could ...
