While the changes aren't expected to be a complete overhaul of Live Search, Microsoft is attempting to improve the search functionality, bringing in personalised elements with a focus on social networks.

The move will come as Microsoft looks to justify the hype surrounding the launch in the UK last summer of AdCenter, its paid search platform, following a year in which it hasn't made up significant ground against sector leader Google.
