Sep. 24--EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- As quarterback Chad Pennington trotted out for his first series Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets fans treated him to a prolonged ovation.
Consider it a kiss-and-makeup moment after some classlessly cheered his opening-day ankle injury two weeks ago. The injury kept him out of the Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens; he furiously rehabbed to be reading for Miami.
