Sep. 24--PANAMA CITY BEACH -- A West End resort is hoping to get a little extra mileage out of this fall's Thunder Beach motorcycle rally.
On Sunday night, the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort started hosting nightly concerts and parties to give Thunder Beach a push out of the gate.
"We're rolling the dice pretty hard to get this thing going," said Gary Hundley, promotions director at Sandpiper Beacon. "We'd like to increase business the whole week and not just three days."
