Rochester officials approve riverfront lease for developer.

Sep. 25--ROCHESTER -- Several Rochester residents, including Councilman Tom Albanese, implored Rochester officials to table a decision to lease several acres of riverfront property to a Pittsburgh developer for at least the next 45 days.

"What's the big hurry? You waited 12 years already," Donald Reckner of Adams Street said.

Albanese said with this being the largest project Rochester has seen in 50 years, he thought council owed it to taxpayers to negotiate a better deal for a longer time period.
