The Swiss government extended a freeze on former Haitian dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier's bank accounts here for another year, reports AFP (Aug. 23, 2007):
7.6 million Swiss francs (US$6.2 million) held by "Baby Doc" Duvalier in Switzerland were due to be released on Sept. 1 after a three-month freeze expired, government spokesman Oswald Sigg.
